Bought a cell phone case from an Ebay dealer and the phone does not fit in properly despite being the correct make/model. They haven't contacted me though I sent a message about this a couple days ago. Just want to warn you all to avoid "bestsources" seller on Ebay cause they obviously have no interest in correcting the situation. I'm off to send this message about my bad experience EVERYWHERE I can think of.

After 2 AM the cops showed up banging at the door at my mom's place. Scared the crap out of us cause we were sleeping. Also, my mom at first thought someone had died since that's the usual reason for police banging on your door in the middle of the night if you're a law abiding citizen.

They said her car was involved in a robbery at Walmart 3 hours before and asked all kinds of questions. We were home when the car was supposedly at the crime AND the car was blocked in the driveway by my car. She just got new license plates and I knew that was a bad idea now look at what happens - some idiot or dyslexic f'd up and we end up with this bullcorn. Never would have happened if she hadn't changed the plates. The new ones are a longer string of numbers/letters (7 rather than 6) and shifty people change plates all the time so now with a newer license number this is more likely to happen again. Not to mention some criminal has a similar car/plate number and could go do more bad stuff in the future - although one guy was already arrested they said.

Dreampt last night that I was working my old job but I didn't know any of the changes that had occurred since I quit so I was all confused. There were all these coloured index cards of tasks and I had no clue what I was to do but apparently I had to do different things that before.

I had to find a Spinone Italiano (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spinone_Italiano) puppy for a guy (they're a rare breed here). He kept calling it an Italian Pointer (which is reasonable alternate name) and showing me pictures of Otterhounds (which look somewhat similar) and saying he was going to pay $20000 to get one so he could breed it. I don't know why but it just strikes me as funny how specific a dream it was yet pretty much pointless.

Going camping this weekend :D
Haven't been since almost freezing to death last year in May when it snowed. Didn't get to do much that time cause of the cold but will be warm/hot this time. Going to go hiking and to the beach :) The dogs are going to have so much fun - there's even an off-leash area in the park for them. I'm super excited - haven't looked forward to anything for a long time. I don't know how Poppy will do with hiking though, he's not in good shape (not that I am either, lol) so we may have to keep to shorter excursions.

I thought I'd heard all the dumbest questions about my dog already but tonight I was proven wrong.

Poppy and I walked to see the fireworks at the lake. Didn't make it there on time but we got a good viewing spot enroute so that's fine. We were walking past alot of people who'd already picked out their spots to watch the fireworks and quite a few people were, like us, still walking closer to the lake. This random lady kept talking to me as we walked, just random small talk. Older lady, late fourties, maybe fifties, looked a bit sickly, wearing a Canada sweater. She was odd, I caught that pretty quickly, but seemed not to be dangerous and she walked slower than us so I wasn't too worried. I tried to out pace her but we got caught up a few times by kids/people who wanted to pet Poppy and she must have lingered and waited for us cause each time we started off again there she was. We were walking again and she goes, "He's not a narc, is he?" motioning to my dog. I heard her fine but went, "What?" cause I couldn't figure what she meant by that. She goes, "He's not a narc, is he?" again. I'm like, "Are you asking if he's a narcotics dog?" And she like has to mumble to herself, "A ... sniffing if ... you have things on you ... a ... yeah." I'm like, "No," shaking my head. She's like, "Oh good, or I'd be in trouble. So he's just here to protect us?"

Really? WTF. Does he LOOK like a police dog? NO! Not at all. He's a Bull Terrier wearing a maple-leaf covered tee shirt and has a glow necklace on. Why on earth would she think he was a narc dog?!? There's a large and visible police presence in the area for the fireworks, I get that but why on earth would she think he was a drug sniffer?

Every time I see this commercial on tv I think it's oddly inappropriate. It's children eating hot dogs in slow motion with a love song playing. Like you just know there's some pervert out there watching it on an endless loop and getting off. *shudders*

Was woken by an earthquake (again)!

They're doing construction nearby so at first I thought it was blasting (cause it's rocky here so all construction involves rock blasting) by no, it had that weird "gentle" rocking motion that comes from quakes (blasting is alot faster/rougher and usually rumbling noises).

Man that's weird though. Kinda wish I hadn't still been in bed.

Is this common knowledge or is it just me who didn't know of this?
How did I not know this?

Despite what the adverts say, it is very difficult to transform grubby clothes into dazzling whites with nothing but elbow grease. To get around this problem, washing powder manufacturers add a special substance (called an optical brightener) that absorbs UV light.

Converting the invisible UV into blue light makes the clothes look brighter and gives the impression of being whiter than white.

You know what would be awesome? If the constant ringing in my left ear would stop. It's been 6 days of nonstop noise. 6 DAYS. I don't even turn on the radio in the house cause I so dislike excess sound. I hope some creepy spider or bug didn't crawl in there while I was sleeping and is nesting on my eardrum. *sigh*
